How do I make the perfect mojito?

You will need:

White rum (Myers’s is a good one)
Club soda
Limes (one per mojito)
Superfine sugar
Fresh mint leaves

Start with about 5-8 freshly washed mint leaves. Tear up the mint leaves into a pint glass. Add 1-2 teaspoons of superfine sugar, depending on how sweet you like your mojito. Add a splash of club soda and mix until the sugar is dissolved. Then muddle the mint leaves (using a wooden spoon if you don't have a muddler) until it smells nice and minty. Next add the juice of one whole lime, followed by 1½-2 ounces of white rum. Add ice until nearly full and top off with club soda. Mix gently and drink with a straw (if you don’t want mint leaves all over your teeth). Enjoy while sitting outside on a hot day, if possible.
